Pune: Ernakulam-Pune, Daund-Ajmer and Gwalior Trains Regulated or Diverted Dec 24–31
Pune/Mumbai, 23rd December 2025: Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will operate Special Power Blocks at Panvel station limits from the midnight of December 24/25 to December 30/31, 2025, for infrastructure-related works, leading to regulation, rescheduling and diversion of several Mail and Express trains affecting Pune and surrounding regions.
According to railway officials, the blocks are being undertaken for removal of infringements connected to the Panvel–Kalamboli Coaching Complex, shifting of Point No. 101B, launching of foot overbridge (FOB) girder sets between platforms 5/6 and 7/8, and erection of steel columns and cross girders at Panvel. The blocks will cover Up and Down Mail lines, Loop lines, Karjat lines, engine reversal lines, and platforms 6 and 7 at Panvel station.
Pune-Related Train Impacts
Several trains linked to Pune, Daund and adjoining sections will be affected during the block period:
Train No. 22149 Ernakulam–Pune Express will be regulated at Somatane for 1 hour and 15 minutes on December 26/27 and December 30/31, 2025 (mid-night).
Train No. 09626 Daund–Ajmer Superfast Express will be regulated at Mohpe for 30 minutes on December 26/27, 2025 (Friday/Saturday mid-night).
Train No. 22193 Daund–Gwalior Express running on December 28/29, 2025 (Sunday/Monday mid-night) will be diverted via Karjat–Kalyan–Bhiwandi Road. The train will halt at Kalyan instead of Panvel.
Train No. 01435 Solapur–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will be regulated at Mohpe for 20 minutes on December 30/31, 2025 (Tuesday/Wednesday mid-night).
Other Trains Affecting the Region
In addition to Pune-linked services, several long-distance trains passing through the Mumbai–Pune section will also be regulated or rescheduled during the block period:
Train No. 12134 Mangaluru Junction–CSMT Express will be regulated at Apta for 20–30 minutes daily from December 24/25 to December 30/31, 2025.
Train No. 01151 CSMT–Karmali Express will be regulated at Kalamboli for 1 hour 15 minutes on multiple days, while the journey commencing on December 27/28, 2025 will be rescheduled to depart at 03:00 hrs.
Train No. 01152 Karmali–CSMT Express will be regulated at Jite for 1 hour 15 minutes daily throughout the block period.
Train No. 22115 LTT–Karmali Express journey commencing on December 25, 2025 will be rescheduled to depart at 01:45 hrs.
Train No. 11099 LTT–Madgaon Express will be rescheduled on multiple dates between December 25 and 28, 2025, with revised departure times ranging from 01:45 hrs to 03:30 hrs.
Railway authorities have advised passengers, particularly those travelling to and from Pune, Daund and nearby sections, to note the changes in train running during the period and plan their journeys accordingly.
