Thackeray Brothers’ Alliance Sparks Celebrations Among Party Workers in Pune
Pune, 24th December 2025: The official announcement of an electoral alliance between Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has set off celebrations among party workers in Pune, marking a historic reunion of the Thackeray brothers, Uddhav and Raj Thackeray. The alliance has created fresh momentum ahead of upcoming civic elections across Maharashtra.
At Alka Chowk, workers and office-bearers from both parties gathered to celebrate, distributing sweets like pedhas and laddoos, bursting firecrackers, and raising jubilant slogans in support of the unity.
MNS leader Babu Wagasakar highlighted the significance of the alliance, saying, “The coming together of the two brothers has brought immense happiness to party workers in Pune. This alliance has infused new energy among our cadres and will strengthen the cause of the Marathi community. With both leaders united, the Marathi identity will be protected, Mumbai safeguarded, and the nation will benefit.”
Shiv Sena city chief Sanjay More added that the announcement was eagerly awaited not only by party workers but by citizens across Maharashtra. “If anyone has the vision and strength to work for the welfare of the state, it is the Thackeray brothers. This alliance gives hope to the people, and we are truly happy,” he said.
The historic political reunion is expected to reshape Maharashtra’s political landscape, energising supporters of both parties and setting the stage for a united front in future electoral contests.
