Pune: AIPTECH to Host Meena Bazaar 2026 at Anjuman-I-Islam Campus to Promote Technical Education for Girls
Bund Garden, 2nd January 2025: Pune is set to witness a vibrant blend of education, creativity and community engagement as Anjuman I Islam Polytechnic, popularly known as AIPTECH, prepares to host its annual cultural and educational event, Meena Bazaar, on January 10, 2026. The event will be held at Anjuman-I-Islam’s Peermohamed Educational Campus from 10 am to 8 pm.
AIPTECH is an exclusively girls’ institution focused on skill development and vocational training for underprivileged young women. Open to girls and women from all communities, the institute follows the secular ideals of the nation and aims to empower students through technical education and hands-on learning.
Speaking about the significance of the event, Tarrannum Shaikh, Campus Coordinator of The Anjuman I Islam Peermohammed Educational Campus and Acting Principal of AIPTECH, said Meena Bazaar is more than just a cultural programme. “This platform allows our students to showcase not only their academic learning but also their creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial skills. Through Meena Bazaar, we want to highlight how technical education can transform the lives of young women,” she said.
The event will feature a wide range of stalls displaying and selling products created by AIPTECH alumni, self-help groups and non-governmental organisations. From handmade items to vocational products, the bazaar will reflect the practical skills imparted at the institute and the journey of students towards self-reliance.
Shaikh added that creating awareness about technical education for girls remains a key objective. “Many families are still unaware of the opportunities technical and vocational courses can offer to girls. Events like Meena Bazaar help bridge that gap and bring the community closer to the institution,” she said.
This year’s Meena Bazaar holds added significance as the Anjuman I Islam Peermohamed Educational Campus marks the completion of 100 years of its establishment, celebrating a legacy that began in 1925. The centenary year underscores the institution’s long-standing commitment to education, especially for marginalised sections of society.
Educators, students, parents and community leaders are expected to participate in large numbers. Businesses, institutions and well-wishers have also been invited to support the initiative through participation, advertisements and sponsorships, which will contribute towards improving training facilities and strengthening quality education at the campus.
According to the organisers, all sponsors will receive prominent visibility and recognition during the event and across various promotional platforms.
The Meena Bazaar will take place on January 10, 2026, at Anjuman-I-Islam’s Peermohamed Educational Campus, from 10 am to 8 pm. For details and sponsorship enquiries, interested individuals can contact 8956577748, 8956577758 or 8956577768 between 9 am and 5 pm.
