Girija Oak to Interview CM Devendra Fadnavis at Pune Vision Interaction Event
Pune, 8th January 2026: With the Pune Municipal Corporation elections approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Pune city unit has announced a special interactive programme titled ‘Samvad Punekaranshi’, aimed at presenting a long-term vision for the city’s overall development.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will directly interact with citizens on Sunday, January 11, at 7 pm at Shubharambh Lawns in Erandwane.
The event will feature a structured interaction in which noted Marathi film actress Girija Oak will interview the Chief Minister on behalf of Pune residents. Several prominent citizens and representatives from different sectors are expected to attend the programme.
Addressing the media, BJP state general secretary Rajesh Pande said the interaction would be broadcast live on large screens across all civic wards in Pune, enabling more than five lakh citizens to watch the programme simultaneously. He said the initiative is aimed at ensuring wider public participation and direct communication between the state leadership and residents.
The programme will also mark the launch of the BJP’s ‘Ghar Chalo’ outreach campaign. Under this two-day drive, the party plans to distribute its election manifesto, or ‘Sankalpnama’, to nearly 10 lakh households across Pune, Pande said.
He added that Pune has historically played a key role in shaping the country’s social, cultural and economic direction and now requires visionary leadership to balance heritage conservation, environmental protection, industrial growth and quality urban life. According to Pande, Chief Minister Fadnavis, who has closely followed Pune’s civic challenges, will outline a clear roadmap and comprehensive development vision for the city during the interaction.
