Baner, 12th January 2026: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) candidate Jayesh Murkute held an interactive campaign by visiting several housing societies in Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sus and Mahalunge, engaging directly with residents and discussing local civic issues. During these interactions, many society members expressed support, stating that their vote was “reserved for development”.

The dialogue meetings provided residents an opportunity to raise concerns and share suggestions related to issues affecting the area. Citizens spoke at length about healthcare facilities, education, traffic congestion, poor road conditions, social and cultural development, as well as water and power supply.

Murkute listened to the concerns raised and assured residents that development-oriented and well-planned solutions would be implemented to address local issues. He said citizen participation is essential for effective governance and that their feedback would form the basis of future planning.

Residents also noted that the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) has consistently supported youth initiatives, which has resulted in a positive response among young residents in several societies. According to locals, this sustained engagement has encouraged greater youth participation in community-level activities.
