Pune: Bharat Forge Secures Rs 300 Crore Contracts for Indigenous Unmanned Systems, Showcases Omega One at Army Day
Pune, 16 January 2026: Bharat Forge Limited (BFL) Aerospace Division has taken a significant step in India’s defence modernisation by winning contracts worth around ₹300 crore under the Emergency Procurement – VI (EP-VI) framework. The orders, intended for the Indian Army and Indian Navy, cover a range of indigenous unmanned platforms, including Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and loitering munitions. Key platforms under the contract — Omega One, Omega Nine, Bayonet, and Cleaver — are designed to meet urgent operational requirements across varied terrains and mission profiles.
The achievement was highlighted during the Army Day Parade in Jaipur on 15 January, when the Omega One was displayed aboard an upgraded BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle. The showcase marked a public endorsement of BFL’s capabilities and reinforced the company’s alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, emphasising indigenous design, rapid delivery, and scalability.
BFL’s unmanned systems portfolio is rapidly evolving, integrating advanced autonomy, artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making to enhance mission endurance, precision, survivability, and adaptability in complex operational scenarios.
