Stage Two of Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026 Scheduled for January 21, Covers 109 km Across Pune District
Pune, 20th January 2026: All preparations have been finalised for Stage Two of the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026, which will be held on Wednesday, January 21, officials from the district administration said. The second leg of the prestigious cycling race will commence at 1.30 pm from the Ladies’ Club in Camp and conclude at Nanded City on Sinhagad Road.
Spanning a distance of 109.15 kilometres, the stage will traverse both urban and rural stretches across Pune district, passing through Purandar, Rajgad and Haveli talukas. Officials described the route as physically demanding, combining city roads with hilly terrain, and noted that the event is the largest cycling competition in Maharashtra and among the most prominent races in India.
The stage is expected to witness participation from cyclists across the country as well as several international riders, lending a global character to the event. Through the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour, the district administration aims to highlight Pune’s geographical diversity, cultural heritage and historical landscape on an international platform, while simultaneously promoting sports and adventure tourism.
Authorities have urged residents to cooperate with the administration for the smooth conduct of the race, especially along the designated route where temporary traffic diversions and restrictions may be implemented for safety reasons.
Stage Two Route:
The race will begin at the Ladies’ Club, Camp, and proceed via Golibar Chowk, Kondhwa, Yeolewadi, Bhivari, Chambli, Kodit, Narayanpur, Chivewadi, Ketkawale, Kapurhol, Kasurdi, Mohari, Jambhli, Ambavane, Karanjavane, Wangani, Nighde, Kusgaon, Shivapur, Kondhanpur, Sinhagad Ghat Road, Donje, Kirkitwadi, Khadakwasla, before culminating at Nanded City on Sinhagad Road.
Officials added that the event is being organised with stringent safety protocols and close coordination among multiple departments, marking an important step towards positioning Pune as a key destination on the international cycling circuit.
