Pune, 22nd January 2026: The excitement of the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour (UCI Class 2.2 Race) reaches its peak with the announcement of the schedule for Stage 4. The Cycling Federation of India and organizers have released the detailed route map and timings, inviting citizens to witness international and national cyclists navigate the streets of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The Route and Schedule
The race is scheduled to flag off from the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex (Balewadi Stadium) at 1:30 PM. Riders will embark on a challenging route that connects major arterial roads of the twin cities before culminating in the heart of Pune.
The peloton is expected to pass through Pashan and University Chowk (approx. 1:46 PM) before heading toward the Pimpri-Chinchwad area via the Rajiv Gandhi Bridge. Key viewing spots in PCMC include Dange Chowk (expected arrival 1:59 PM), Bhakti Shakti Chowk (2:09 PM), and Spine Road (2:26 PM).
Following the PCMC leg, the cyclists will loop back toward Pune City, passing through Empire Estate and Kalewadi Chowk. The race intensifies as riders re-enter the city limits, passing University Chowk again around 2:53 PM.

The Final Stretch
The closing kilometers of Stage 4 promise high drama as cyclists navigate the city’s historic and busy landmarks. The route winds through Nalstop Chowk, Swargate (Laxmi Narayan/Seven Loves Chowk), and the Turf Club.
Spectators in the Camp and City areas can catch the action at the National War Memorial (approx. 3:33 PM) and Shaniwar Wada (approx. 3:36 PM).
The stage will conclude at Bal Gandharv Rangmandir on JM Road, with the fastest riders expected to cross the finish line at approximately 3:44 PM.
Spectator Advisory
Organizers have provided specific “Spectator Gathering Times” for each location, generally advising fans to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before the cyclists pass. Residents are encouraged to line the streets at locations such as FC Road (Gathering time: 3:10 PM – 4:10 PM) and Indrayani Chowk (Gathering time: 1:50 PM – 2:45 PM) to cheer for the athletes.
Traffic Note
Commuters should expect temporary diversions and rolling road closures along the route between 1:30 PM and 4:10 PM. The most congestion is expected around University Circle, University Road, and the JM Road/FC Road loop during the final hour of the race.
