Camp, 23rd January 2026: The grand flower exhibition organized this year at Pune’s historical landmark, Empress Botanical Garden, is truly commendable. Having a green area in the central part of Pune is a significant achievement from the perspective of greenery and environmental conservation. Environmental protection is not only the responsibility of the government but of every component of society and the police department will fulfill this responsibility with complete dedication. There is a need for a green army today, therefore, the “Khaki Force will now act as a Green Force,” and 44 police stations in the city will be developed as green police stations. Every police officer will cooperate in this endeavor, said Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.

The Empress Garden Flower Exhibition 2026 was inaugurated today by Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. The program began with a tribute to senior environmental expert, Padma Bhushan Dr. Madhav Gadgil.
