Hadapsar, 27th January 2026: On this 77th anniversary of the Indian Constitution—rooted in the Latin res publica, or “the people’s thing”—the Rotary Club of Pune Amanora proudly reaffirmed the spirit of the republic through meaningful, direct community action.

Marking the occasion, the Club announced the formal adoption of a cluster of 13 villages to establish a new Rotary Community Corps (RCC). This dedicated platform is specifically designed to empower local residents and strengthen the community at its grassroots, giving power back to the people to lead their own transformation.

The celebration was not merely ceremonial, but action-oriented. The Rotary Club of Pune Amanora delivered six personal computers and launched six digital classrooms across these villages, immediately bridging the technological divide for the next generation. “We intend to complete the transformation of Kendur village cluster in phases. Next month we will initiate the installation of Water ATM and provide sewing machines for ladies who would like to become entrepreneurs. We also have bigger plans of painting the schools, provide bicycles for the girl childs and undertake various initiatives to uplift the quality of life in Kendur”, said Dimple Seth, Service Director. The celebration was presided over RCPA members, and Kendur village Grampanchayat officials, Partner Clubs and District representatives of Rotary.

“A republic truly unfolds when power is returned to the people,” said DD Mishra, President for the Club. “These are our first humble steps toward helping the community lead its own transformation. Our commitment is unwavering.”

The initiative is driven by a clear purpose: to transform rural lives through sustainable infrastructure projects, such as ensuring access to clean water, and to foster economic independence through the provision of essential tools like sewing machines for now.

While the Club’s strategy embraces organic evolution over a rigid blueprint, its dedication to lasting change remains steadfast. With the continued support of generous donors, the Rotary Club of Pune Amanora is poised to take significant steps in the right direction towards transforming humanity.
