Oasis Janani Yatra Reaches Pune: Fertility Awareness Drive Offers Free Tests and Consultations
Pune, 28th January 2026: Oasis Fertility, a leading name in reproductive medicine in India, brought its nationwide fertility awareness campaign, Oasis Janani Yatra, to Pune on Tuesday, marking its next major stop in Maharashtra after a successful outreach across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
The initiative is designed to take fertility education, expert medical guidance and early screening services directly to communities in Tier I, II and III cities. The Pune launch featured a “Walkathon for Parenthood”, aimed at creating awareness about infertility, the importance of early fertility testing and long-term reproductive health.
The walkathon drew participation from students, families, healthcare professionals and local residents. The event was attended by Chief Guests Dr Kiran Kurtkoti, President of AMOGS; Dr Manish Machave, President of POGS; and Mohan Tiloo, President of Rotary Club of Pune Sanskruti. They praised Oasis Fertility for strengthening community-level awareness on reproductive health.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Kiran Kurtkoti said, “The Oasis Janani Yatra plays a crucial role in spreading awareness about reproductive issues and gives people an opportunity to understand their health irrespective of their socioeconomic background. After successfully reaching communities across four states, the clinic has now reached Maharashtra, and I hope the medical experts at Oasis Fertility are able to help many more families here.”
As part of the Yatra, a specially equipped bus is offering free fertility consultations along with free AMH and haemoglobin tests, semen analysis, and hygienic sample collection facilities. The aim is to ensure that couples receive early, accurate and compassionate medical guidance at the community level.
Dr Durga G. Rao, Medical Director and Co-founder of Oasis Fertility, said the initiative is especially relevant as fertility challenges are rising due to lifestyle changes, delayed parenthood and lack of scientific awareness. “After our successful journey through South India, the Oasis Janani Yatra is now bringing evidence-based reproductive care to the heart of Maharashtra’s local communities. With the state’s declining total fertility rate, early medical guidance for couples planning parenthood is more important than ever,” she said.
Pushkaraj Shenai, CEO of Oasis Fertility, stressed the need for accessible and timely reproductive healthcare. “As India’s fertility rate continues to fall, the need of the hour is high-quality, affordable and prompt care. Through the Good Hands of Science, we are delivering expert counselling, early diagnostics and guided support at the grassroots level, helping aspiring parents make informed medical decisions,” he said.
Dr Nilesh Unmesh Balkawade, Regional Medical Head – India West, Oasis Fertility, said the response to the Yatra in Pune underlined the demand for correct medical information. “Couples clearly value the right guidance. This initiative takes timely information and compassionate support directly to communities that still face challenges in understanding fertility issues and advanced treatment options. As the Yatra coincides with National Girl Child Day, it also reinforces our commitment to women’s health and awareness at the grassroots,” he added.
The Oasis Janani Yatra will continue its journey across Maharashtra in the coming weeks, taking fertility awareness and early screening services to more cities and towns across the state.
