PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD / PUNE, 30th January 2026: Gaurav Chaudhari, a prominent young leader from the Pimpri Chinchwad Youth Congress, has been appointed as a National Spokesperson of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC).

The appointment was formally announced on January 27 through a letter issued by Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib. Chaudhari is among 22 youth leaders from across the country selected for the role.

An academically accomplished and active party worker, Chaudhari has served the Youth Congress at city, district and state levels in Pimpri-Chinchwad. His sustained involvement in organisational work and his performance as a media panelist are said to have played a key role in his elevation to the national post.

“Gaurav’s consistent contribution to the organisation and his ability to present issues with clarity and research have been recognised at the national level,” a Youth Congress leader said.

Reacting to the appointment, Chaudhari thanked senior leaders for their support throughout his political journey. “I am grateful to all my mentors and colleagues at the city and state levels who believed in me from the very beginning,” he said.

He added that the new role comes with greater responsibility. “As National Spokesperson, I will work to strengthen the Indian Youth Congress and ensure that the voices of students and young citizens across the country are heard. I will present the party’s position in a thoughtful and effective manner on national platforms,” Chaudhari said.

The Indian Youth Congress leadership said the appointments are aimed at strengthening the organisation’s communication and outreach among young voters nationwide.
