Pune Division Honours 14 Retiring Railway Employees, Launches ‘Pensioners Bandhu’ Initiative
Pune, 31st March 2026: A settlement function for retiring employees of the Pune Division, Central Railway, was held at the Conference Hall of the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) Office on Monday, where 14 employees retired upon attaining the age of superannuation.
The employees were felicitated during the programme and were handed over their settlement and retirement documents by Divisional Railway Manager Rajesh Kumar Verma. The event was attended by senior officials including Jitendra P. Singh, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer; Dhammpal S. Salunke, Assistant Personnel Officer; and Jyoti Vinod, Assistant Divisional Finance Manager.
According to officials, the function was organised to formally acknowledge the services rendered by the retiring staff members over the course of their careers in the Railways.
During the event, a new initiative titled “Pensioners Bandhu” was also introduced for pensioners of the Pune Division. Under this initiative, a designated official from the Personnel Department has been assigned to assist pensioners by addressing queries and concerns through mobile communication.
A dedicated contact number 9284913669 has been issued for the initiative. Pensioners can reach out on working days during office hours for assistance related to their concerns.
Officials stated that the initiative is intended to facilitate communication and support for retired employees and pensioners associated with the division.
