Dimple Seth, Service Director and Programme Implementation Manager at the club, highlighted that the integration of water filtration systems and sewing machines addresses both essential needs and livelihood opportunities. “These initiatives lay the groundwork for sustainable economic growth and improved quality of life,” she said.

Neha Gujral, representing United Conveyor Corporation (India), expressed satisfaction over the successful implementation of the CSR initiative and indicated interest in expanding efforts in the region. “Our initiative in Kendur is reflected in the happiness and progress of the villagers. We have enabled access to safe drinking water while also creating livelihood opportunities. The Water ATM project stands as an example of self-reliance,” she said.

Community-led governance has played a key role in the success of these initiatives. A Rotary Community Corps (RCC) has been established in the village, comprising local residents who help implement and maintain projects at the grassroots level.

Village Sarpanch Mangal Sakure expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting that earlier water filtration projects have helped address critical health concerns while also generating local employment by providing safe drinking water at minimal cost.

The Rotary Club of Pune Amanora plans to continue its development efforts in Kendur, with upcoming initiatives including digital infrastructure such as e-learning kits, along with proposals for school renovations and solar energy projects.
