Pune: Builder’s Bulldozer Sparks Outrage in Mohammadwadi, Residents Allege Inaction

Mohammadwadi, 13th April 2026: Tension gripped the Mohammadwadi–NIBM Annexe area after a video surfaced showing a chain dozer allegedly damaging a public road near Ganga Kingston Society, triggering strong reactions from residents and local activists.
According to a social media post, BJP member and social activist Jaymala Dhankikar raised serious concerns over the incident. She alleged that a bulldozer linked to an influential builder was operating on a public road without proper accountability. She further claimed that despite reporting the issue multiple times, no action has been taken by the authorities.
Speaking on the issue, Jaymala Dhankikar said:
“I approached a senior Traffic Police officer and informed him about the entire situation, but I was asked to file a complaint with the PMC instead of immediate action being taken. Such activities should not be allowed on residential roads.”
Residents have expressed concern over what they describe as growing “lawlessness” in the area, questioning the lack of enforcement despite repeated complaints. The incident has once again highlighted issues related to road safety, alleged illegal construction activities, and civic negligence in Mohammadwadi.
Citizens are now demanding strict action against those responsible and better coordination between authorities to prevent such incidents in the future.
