Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express Derails at Pune Station; All Passengers Safe

Pune, 27th April 1026: The Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat Express derailed while approaching the Pune Railway Station late in the evening. Railway authorities have confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident, and all passengers are completely safe.

Addressing the media at the site, Hemant Kumar Behera, Divisional Commercial Manager and Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Pune Division, provided details of the mishap. “The Vande Bharat Express, traveling from Mumbai to Solapur, was approaching platform number three at Pune Station when the front trolley of coach number C-15 derailed,” Behera stated.

He reassured the public regarding passenger safety, saying, “All passengers are safe. There are no injuries, and no one is facing any difficulties.”

Immediately following the incident, the railways mobilized a quick response team to the site. Multiple departments are working in tandem to restore operations and place the derailed wheels back onto the tracks.

To ensure the safety and comfort of those on board, railway staff, including porters, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and ticket-checking personnel, have been deployed to assist passengers in safely deboarding the train and escorting them to the platform.

When asked about the immediate relief measures for the stranded passengers, Behera added that the railway authorities are arranging snacks and other necessary provisions to accommodate them while restoration work continues.
