Banaras–Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express to Arrive in Pune Division on April 29; Reception Events Planned at Three Stations
Pune, 27th April 2026: The inaugural run of the Banaras–Hadapsar–Banaras Amrit Bharat Express will reach the Pune Division on April 29, with reception ceremonies scheduled at Kopargaon, Ahilyanagar, and Hadapsar stations, according to railway officials.
The train will be inaugurated by Narendra Modi on April 28 from Banaras. The special inaugural service (Train No. 02531) is scheduled to depart Banaras at 16:45 hrs the same day and is expected to arrive at Hadapsar at 00:55 hrs after traversing a multi-state route.
Railway authorities said several dignitaries are expected to attend the reception events across the Pune Division. These include Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister Maharashtra and Guardian Minister of Pune district, Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher and Technical Education Maharashtra and Amol Kolhe, Member of Parliament from Shirur.
The train will pass through key stations including Gyanpur Road, Prayagraj Junction, Fatehpur, Govindpuri, Orai, Jhansi, Bina, Rani Kamalapati, Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Harda, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, and Manmad before entering Maharashtra. Within the Pune Division, scheduled halts include Kopargaon (18:45/18:50), Ahilyanagar (20:35/20:40), and the Daund Chord Line (22:35/22:40), before terminating at Hadapsar.
In the run-up to the reception, Central Railway’s Pune Division conducted an essay competition across six schools in Kopargaon, Ahilyanagar, and Hadapsar, drawing participation from more than 1,000 students. The themes included “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
Railway officials stated that winners of the competition will be felicitated during the reception ceremonies on April 29 at the designated stations.
