Train Services Hit After Vande Bharat Derailment at Pune; Multiple Trains Delayed and Halted
Pune, 27th April 2026: Train services in and around Pune Railway Station were affected on Monday evening following the derailment of a coach of the Vande Bharat Express 22225 CSMT–Solapur during its entry into the platform area. Several trains have been delayed or temporarily halted as railway authorities manage the situation and undertake restoration work.
According to railway updates, the Huzur Sahib Nanded Express bound for Nanded is running behind schedule. The MGR Chennai Humsafar Express has been held up at Khadki Railway Station.
The Duronto Express has not yet departed from Pune station, while the Rajkot–Secunderabad Express is also reported to be running late.
On the Mumbai–Pune section, the Sinhagad Express has been halted at Karjat Railway Station. Meanwhile, the Mumbai–MGR Chennai Central Express is currently stopped at Neral Railway Station.
Railway officials are monitoring the situation closely and working to restore normal operations. Further updates on train movements are awaited as efforts continue at the site of the derailment.
