Pune BJP Row: Two Women Corporators Clash, Complaint Reaches CM Fadnavis
Pune, 29th April 2026: Internal differences within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Pune have come into the open after a dispute between two women corporators escalated to the police and reached the office of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The disagreement involves corporators Archana Patil and Mrunal Kamble from Ward 22. The conflict has intensified in recent days, drawing attention within party circles and raising questions over internal coordination.
Patil has alleged that morphed videos targeting her were circulated on social media with the intent to defame her. She also claimed that her statements made during official meetings were misrepresented and taken out of context. Following these allegations, she has filed a police complaint and approached the Chief Minister seeking intervention.
Kamble, however, has denied all the allegations. Responding to the claims, she termed them baseless and alleged that the issue was being raised for publicity.
With attempts to resolve the matter within the party reportedly unsuccessful, the dispute has now spilled into the public domain. The development has triggered political reactions and brought focus on internal discipline within the party.
