Pune: Fuel Prices Hiked Again; Petrol Up by 91 Paise, Diesel by 94 Paise
Pune, 19th May 2026: Fuel prices have been increased once again, with petrol becoming costlier by 91 paise per litre and diesel by 94 paise per litre from Tuesday. This marks the second fuel price hike in less than a week after oil marketing companies had raised rates by over Rs 3 per litre on May 15.
According to the revised rates issued on Tuesday, petrol in Pune will now cost Rs 107.89 per litre, up from the earlier Rs 106.98 per litre. Diesel prices have risen from Rs 93.45 per litre to Rs 94.39 per litre.
The latest increase comes days after a major fuel price revision announced on May 15, when petrol prices were hiked by Rs 3.16 per litre and diesel by Rs 3.10 per litre across Pune. Premium fuel variants, including XP95, had also witnessed a similar increase at the time.
Following the latest revision, petrol prices in Pune have increased by more than Rs 4 per litre within five days, while diesel rates have risen by over Rs 4 during the same period.
Officials from the Pune Petrol Dealers Association said the revised prices are applicable across fuel stations operated by major public sector oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
Fuel prices in India are revised regularly based on fluctuations in international crude oil prices, exchange rates, and domestic pricing mechanisms, leading to periodic changes in retail rates across cities.
