Maharashtra ITI Admission 2026 Begins: Over 1.57 Lakh Seats Available Across 1,004 Institutes
Pune, 22nd May 2026: The online admission process for government and private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Maharashtra for the academic year 2026-27 began on Thursday.
The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) is conducting the centralised online admission process for a total of 1,57,664 seats across 1,004 ITIs in the state.
On the first day of the admission process, around 1,565 students registered, while 982 students completed their applications.
Admissions are being conducted under the Craftsman Training Scheme for various vocational trades offered by ITIs. A total of 84 trades are available across government and private institutes in Maharashtra.
Of the total seats, 97,088 are available in 418 government ITIs, while 60,576 seats are available in 586 private ITIs.
The department has also arranged free guidance sessions for students seeking admission to ITIs. These sessions will be held daily from 10 am to 11 am at all government and private ITIs across the state to help students understand the admission process.
Among all divisions, Pune division has the highest number of seats, with 31,528 seats across 195 ITIs, followed by Nashik division with 30,668 seats in 219 institutes.
Division-wise ITI seats available in Maharashtra are as follows:
Amravati: 98 ITIs, 21,228 seats
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: 150 ITIs, 24,360 seats
Mumbai: 106 ITIs, 20,704 seats
Nagpur: 236 ITIs, 29,176 seats
Nashik: 219 ITIs, 30,668 seats
Pune: 195 ITIs, 31,528 seats
The admission process will continue through the official online portal of the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training.
