Pune: Day 3 at Shreeram Lagoo National Theatre Festival
Pune 28th May 2026: The third day of the Shreeram Lagoo National Theatre Festival concluded on an engaging note with a platform performance and the play Do You Know This Song? at Shreeram Lagoo Rang-Avakash, Pune.
The platform performance titled “Bol Sakhi”, presented by Rutuja and Swarashri, showcased a moving portrayal of the friendship between Savitribai Phule and Fatima Sheikh. Through a jugalbandi of Bharatanatyam and Kathak, the piece traced their shared journey of resilience, using elements of poetry, historic letters and multilingual expression. Rooted in storytelling, the performance highlighted themes of solidarity, education and women empowering one another, creating an intimate and impactful connection with the audience.
This was followed by “Do You Know This Song?”, a 90-minute Hindi and English production by Mallika Taneja from Delhi,
It featured a poignant exploration of loss, memory and voice, tracing a forgotten singer’s journey through grief, love and rediscovery blending storytelling, music and personal fragments into an intimate performance.
