Pune Water Cut: Yerawada, Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park to Face Water Shutdown on Tuesday, June 2

Pune, 29th May 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a complete suspension of water supply to Yerawada, Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park, and several neighboring areas on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The scheduled shutdown is required to facilitate essential maintenance work under the Thackersay Tank, which is supplied by the Cantonment Water Works (Lashkar Jal Kendra).

According to an official press release issued by the PMC’s Information and Public Relations Office, water supply will be completely cut off for the entire day on Tuesday.
Affected Areas
The water suspension will impact all areas served by the Thackersay Tank under the Cantonment Water Supply Department. Residents in the following localities will experience a total water shutdown:
Yerawada (entire area)
Kalyani Nagar (entire area)
Koregaon Park (select areas under the distribution line)
Sangamwadi and UP Hotel Sangamwadi
Gandhinagar, Ramnagar, and Laxminagar
Jay Jawan Nagar
Bungalow No. 5 (partial area)
Government Colony (adjacent to Loop Road)
Low-Pressure Supply on Wednesday
The civic body has cautioned that when water supply resumes on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, it is highly likely to be at a significantly lower pressure than usual.

Virendra Kelkar, Acting Superintendent Engineer of the Cantonment Water Supply Department, has urged all residents in the affected localities to take note of the scheduled suspension, store sufficient water in advance, and cooperate with the municipal administration during this period to minimize inconvenience.
