Pune: PMC Announces Results for 169 Junior Engineer Posts
Pune, 9th June 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Tuesday announced the results of the recruitment examination conducted for 169 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil), Class III. The results have been published on the corporation’s official website, bringing relief to thousands of candidates who had been awaiting the outcome for several months.
The recruitment examination for the 169 Junior Engineer (Civil) vacancies, which had been postponed twice, was conducted at seven centres across Maharashtra on April 22, 23 and 29, 2026. The online examination was held in seven sessions.
A total of 42,000 candidates had applied for the examination, of whom 20,735 appeared for the test. The examination was conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), one of the country’s reputed examination-conducting agencies.
Candidates had been eagerly awaiting the declaration of the results. The PMC has now published the results on its official website, where candidates can check their scores and related details, according to Kishori Shinde, Head of the PMC’s General Administration Department.
QR Code Security Added to Prevent Fraud
To ensure transparency in the recruitment process and prevent forgery or malpractice, the Pune Municipal Corporation has incorporated a secure QR code on the result sheets.
Through this QR code, candidates can instantly verify the authenticity and validity of their results. The additional security feature is expected to help prevent the circulation of fake documents and ensure that only official and genuine result records are accepted.
