Pune, 14th June 2026: The initiative, Unique Pune Tree Painting, was successfully held at the Venus art fest at Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery, Ghole Road, Pune.

The event brought together distinguished individuals from various fields, particularly those holding high-responsibility positions including, Parshuram Wadekar (DY Mayor), Hemant Rasne (MLA KAsba Peth), Santosh Marathe (Rotary Governer),
Cawas Pundole (owner of CT Pundole and Sons), Sanjay Takle (Rally Car Racer), Shailesh Bhandari (Managing Director of B. U Bhandari auto pvt ltd), Dr Alka Kshirsagar(IMA Chairperson), Advocate Ravi Mane, Venus Traders director Surendra Karamchanani

At its core, the Unique Pune Tree initiative is centred on art as a tool for mental relaxation and emotional release. In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, especially for individuals in high-responsibility roles, stress often goes unaddressed. This initiative creates a pause encouraging individuals to step away from constant pressure and engage in a simple, reflective act of creation.

The presence of high-profile individuals was intentional, highlighting that mental relaxation is relevant at every level of responsibility. By introducing them to art as a form of release, the initiative brings attention to the need for acknowledging mental strain, even within structured and demanding lives.

A unique highlight was the tree installation outside the gallery that represented participation and togetherness. Visitors were invited to add a thumbprint, each one forming a part of the larger image. As the tree filled up, it reflected how small individual contributions come together to complete something whole.

The Canvas painting session was conducted under the guidance of Dr Prof Manohar Desai.
