Pune, 18th June 2026: In a significant crackdown, the Pune Police Crime Branch has busted a high-profile prostitution racket operating from a hotel in the Shivajinagar area, rescuing three women — including one foreign national and two from different states — who were allegedly forced into the flesh trade.

The raid was conducted based on specific intelligence received by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Pune Police. Two agents allegedly running the racket have been booked in the case.

According to police officials, a tip-off was received on June 16, 2026, indicating that women were being compelled into prostitution at ‘The Centurion Hotel’ near Akashvani Chowk in Shivajinagar. To verify the information, the police immediately deployed a decoy customer, who confirmed the allegations.
