Kharadi, 20th June 2026: The investigation into self-styled godman Radhamohan Mishra, who has been arrested for allegedly sexually, mentally, and financially exploiting a woman devotee, has revealed that he systematically collected highly personal information from his followers and allegedly used it to control them.

According to police, Mishra required devotees to regularly submit what he called “mind reports.” In these reports, followers were asked to document their thoughts, mistakes, personal experiences, family issues, and secrets. Devotees were allegedly told that concealing information or providing false details would result in divine punishment and condemnation to hell.

Investigators said these reports became a powerful tool for Mishra to maintain control over his followers. He allegedly used the confidential information to threaten devotees and exert psychological pressure. Children and followers staying at the ashram were often warned that their reports would be shown to their parents if they disobeyed him.

Police said Mishra employed the same tactic against the woman who later lodged a complaint against him. When she attempted to inform her family about the alleged abuse, Mishra allegedly disclosed personal details from her reports to her relatives and used the information to discredit her.

Investigators believe this undermined her credibility within the family and enabled him to continue the alleged sexual, mental, and physical exploitation for several years.

Mishra is currently in the custody of Kharadi police. Police have also arrested Swami Kanwal Nayan and six women in connection with the case.

During searches conducted at the ashram, investigators seized laptops, mobile phones, pen drives, and hard disks. Since the devices are password-protected, forensic experts are carrying out a detailed technical analysis.

Police suspect the digital evidence may reveal additional instances of exploitation and provide further insights into the operations of the ashram.

Victim allegedly forced to steal from her father

In another development, police said Mishra allegedly coerced the victim into stealing cash and important documents from a cupboard in her father’s room. Investigators claim he later used those documents to transfer property owned by the woman into his own name.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are examining digital evidence and financial records to determine the full extent of the alleged exploitation and financial fraud.
