New Delhi, 7th August 2026: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has begun the application process for 242 administrative vacancies under its Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB). The recruitment drive includes posts of Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Stenographer across various ISRO centres and autonomous institutions under the Department of Space.

According to the official notification, the recruitment includes 113 Assistant posts, 81 Junior Personal Assistant posts, 22 Upper Division Clerk posts and 10 Stenographer posts. In addition, ISRO will fill 17 Assistant posts and one Junior Personal Assistant post in autonomous institutions, taking the total number of vacancies to 242.

The online application process is currently underway and candidates can submit their applications until August 16, 2026 through the official ISRO recruitment portal. The organisation has advised applicants to carefully read the detailed notification before completing the registration process.

Candidates applying for Assistant and Upper Division Clerk posts must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 60 per cent marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognised university, along with knowledge of computer applications. For Junior Personal Assistant and Stenographer posts, applicants should possess either a bachelor’s degree with the prescribed minimum marks or a diploma in Commercial or Secretarial Practice, along with the required stenography skills. The upper age limit is 28 years, with relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

The selection process will comprise a written examination followed by a qualifying skill test for the applicable posts. Candidates who clear both stages will be shortlisted for document verification before the final appointment.

Applicants will be required to pay the prescribed application fee while submitting their forms. However, eligible candidates will receive a refund of the processing fee after appearing for the written examination, as per the provisions mentioned in the official notification.
