Pune–Jaipur Express to Originate from Khadki, Return Service to End at Khadki on July 5 Due to Pune Yard Block
Pune, 30th June 2026: The Pune–Jaipur–Pune Express will operate from Khadki instead of Pune on July 5, while the inbound Jaipur–Pune service will terminate at Khadki a day earlier, following a nine-hour traffic and power block in Pune Yard for infrastructure works.
According to Central Railway, Train No. 12940 Jaipur–Pune Express, commencing its journey on July 4, will short terminate at Khadki railway station instead of Pune.
Similarly, Train No. 12939 Pune–Jaipur Express, commencing its journey on July 5, will short originate from Khadki railway station at 5:35 pm, instead of departing from Pune.
The changes have been announced in connection with a special traffic and power block scheduled on Sunday, July 5, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in Pune Yard. The block is being undertaken to facilitate engineering, Signal and Telecommunication (S&T), and Overhead Equipment (OHE) works, including the replacement of DDS points and the upgradation of the existing 52 kg track layout to a 60 kg DDS layout.
During the block period, Platform Nos. 1 and 2 at Pune station will remain unavailable for train movements from the CSMT end, while outbound movements towards Mumbai from Platforms 2, 3 and 4 will also remain suspended, leading to temporary changes in train operations.
Passengers travelling by the Pune–Jaipur–Pune Express have been advised to plan their journey accordingly and note the temporary change in boarding and deboarding station.
