Pune Ketan Agrawal Murder: Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhari Secretly Married Months Before Crime, WhatsApp Chats Reveal, Say Police Sources

Pune, 7th July 2026: The investigation into the murder of businessman Ketan Agrawal at Lohagad Fort has uncovered fresh details, with police sources claiming that the two main accused Siya Goyal — and her alleged boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary — had secretly married about four months before the crime.

According to police sources, the claim is based on evidence recovered from WhatsApp chats extracted from the mobile phones of the accused. Investigators are examining digital evidence, including chat records, call details, location data and other technical material, as part of the probe.

The two were arrested for allegedly murdering businessman by pushing him off a cliff at Lohgad Fort on June 18. Goyal, who was engaged to marry Agrawal, and her alleged boyfriend Chaudhari are currently in 14-day judicial custody.

Police sources further claimed that the accused had spent months studying crime-related podcasts, videos and web series to understand how murders are committed and investigated. Investigators believe they also examined murder cases from different parts of the country to identify a method that would attract the least suspicion.

According to police sources, the accused concluded that using a knife or any other weapon could leave forensic evidence and increase the chances of being caught. They allegedly decided against using any weapon and instead planned to push the victim off a cliff to make the death appear accidental. Police claim Goyal disclosed this during questioning.

Officials said the findings are based on the ongoing analysis of the accused’s digital devices. The police are continuing to verify the electronic evidence before filing the chargesheet.
