9 Rescued Alive as NDRF Continues Round-the-Clock Operation at Moshi Building Collapse Site

Pimpri Chinchwad, 9th July 2026: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) continued intensive search and rescue operations through the night at the building collapse site in Moshi, with nine people rescued alive as of Thursday morning.

According to the 05 Battalion of the NDRF, personnel have been carrying out Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) operations since the incident under the guidance of Commandant S. B. Singh and the on-site supervision of Assistant Commandant Pravin Dhat.

As of 6:30 am on July 9, the NDRF, working alongside other emergency response agencies, had successfully rescued nine people alive from the debris.

Officials said that, based on information provided by local residents, a few more people are still suspected to be trapped beneath the collapsed structure. Search and rescue operations are continuing at full scale using specialised rescue equipment and technical search methods to locate and safely extricate the remaining victims.

The NDRF said every effort is being made to rescue those still trapped at the earliest while ensuring the safety of rescue personnel.

The force is working in close coordination with the local administration and other concerned agencies to ensure a swift and effective response to the incident.

Authorities said further updates will be shared as the rescue operation progresses.
