Maharashtra Class 11 Admissions: Special Admission Round Announced for Female Students
Pune, 9th July 2026: The Maharashtra School Education Department has announced a special admission round exclusively for girl students under the centralised online Class XI admission process. The merit list and cut-off marks for this round will be released on July 13, according to a notification issued by Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dr Mahesh Palkar.
As per the schedule, female students will be able to confirm, reject or cancel their allotted admission on July 13 and 14. The next special admission round schedule will be announced on July 14.
The Class XI admission process is currently underway for 9,688 junior colleges across Maharashtra. Of the 14.73 lakh students who have registered so far, 10.08 lakh have already confirmed their admissions.
Following three regular admission rounds, 4.84 lakh students participated in the first special admission round. College allotments were announced for 3.92 lakh students on July 3, of whom 3.24 lakh confirmed their admissions by July 7. This includes 3.13 lakh admissions under the CAP process and 11,119 admissions through reserved quotas.
Students allotted seats in the first special admission round have been given time until 5 pm on July 8 to complete the admission process.
The education department has also directed all higher secondary schools and junior colleges to commence regular classes from July 15, as the admission process has substantially progressed after three regular and one special admission rounds.
Schedule for the Special Admission Round for Girls
July 10-11: New registration, application correction, preference filling and final submission
July 13: Merit list and college allotment (cut-off) to be announced
July 13-14: Admission confirmation, rejection or cancellation
July 14: Schedule for the next special admission round to be announced
July 15: Regular classes begin in all junior colleges
July 16: Vacant seat list to be published
