Pune: NCP Appoints Nirmala Yewale as State Women’s Youth Wing Chief, Akash Zhambare Patil Named National Student President

Pune, 7th August 2026: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has announced key organisational appointments, naming Nirmala Yewale as the Maharashtra state president of its women’s youth wing and Akash Zhambare Patil as the party’s National Students’ President, as it seeks to strengthen its organisational network across the state and among youth.

Yewale’s appointment was announced by Maharashtra NCP president Sunil Tatkare in an official letter dated August 6. Congratulating her on the new responsibility, Tatkare expressed confidence that she would contribute to strengthening the party organisation and effectively take the party’s ideology and policies to the people.

In another organisational reshuffle, the NCP appointed Akash Zhambare Patil as its National Students’ Wing President with the approval of deputy chief minister and party chief Sunetra Ajit Pawar.

Patil was handed his appointment letter in the presence of Sunetra Pawar in Mumbai on Thursday. According to the party, he has been entrusted with the responsibility of strengthening the NCP’s student wing across the country, connecting more young people with the party’s ideology and effectively raising issues concerning students.

Senior party leaders congratulated both Yewale and Patil on their appointments and wished them success in their new organisational responsibilities.
