Pune: Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Arrives in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Return Journey from Pandharpur
Pimpri Chinchwad, 8th August 2026: The Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi procession arrived in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Saturday evening on its return journey from Pandharpur after devotees paid obeisance to Lord Vitthal during Ashadhi Ekadashi.
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation welcomed the palkhi procession at Mahatma Phule College Chowk in Pimpri village. Deputy Mayor Sharmila Babar welcomed the procession on behalf of the city.
Municipal corporators Sandeep Waghere, Priyanka Kudale and Nikita Kadam, former deputy mayor Prabhakar Waghere, former corporators Usha Waghere and Girija Kudale, special officer Kiran Gaikwad and junior engineer Bapusaheb Rokade, along with civic officials, employees and a large number of residents, were present.
