Pune: Bhor Man Allegedly Murders Mother After She Objects to His Drinking Habbit

Bhor, 8th August 2026: A 52-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her son following an argument over his alcohol addiction at Malwadi in Mahude village of Bhor taluka on Friday. Police have detained the accused, identified as Sameer Kalu Malusare, 31.

According to Bhor police, Sameer, who is allegedly addicted to alcohol, had an argument with his mother, Baby Kalu Malusare, on Friday afternoon after she asked him to stop drinking as construction work was underway at their house. Sameer was reportedly demanding money from her to buy alcohol.

Around 4pm, when Baby was lying down inside the house, Sameer allegedly attacked her on the head with an iron rod, killing her on the spot. He then allegedly left her body inside the house, locked the premises and told neighbours that his mother had gone to her native village.

On Saturday morning, after he had sobered up, Sameer returned home and allegedly told his cousin that he had killed his mother following their argument the previous day. The police patil subsequently informed the police.

A team led by police inspector Nilesh Mane visited the spot and conducted a panchnama before taking Sameer into custody. A case was being registered at Bhor police station.
