Pune Aero Mall Bar Raid: Case Registered Against Owner, Manager, DJ And Five Others
Viman Nagar, 10th August 2026: A case has been registered against eight people after the Pune crime branch found The Houz Commune Bar and Eatery at Aero Mall in Viman Nagar operating in violation of prescribed rules during a raid conducted in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
The action followed a crime branch raid at the bar around 3.20 am on August 9. Police found 89 customers at the premises, including 63 men and 26 women.
The accused have been identified as Sumit Gote (sponsor), Noor Hussain Shaikh (manager), Sonali Pandit (DJ), Mangesh Dhimdhime (owner), and employees Aniket Kir, Sunita Verma, Anant Gaikwad and Shanur Qazi.
According to police, a case is being registered against them under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Maharashtra Prohibition Act and the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act.
During the action, police seized liquor stock worth around Rs 1.67 lakh and a sound system valued at approximately Rs 75,000. The total value of the seized property was around Rs 2.42 lakh.
The case is being investigated by the Airport police.
