Bestselling author Amish Tripathi inspires students at Elpro International School with interactive history session
Pimpri Chinchwad, 4th August 2026: Elpro International School hosted bestselling author Amish Tripathi on August 3 for an interactive literary session, offering students an opportunity to explore Indian history through storytelling, quizzes and engaging discussions centred around his latest book, Dhruv and Tara: The Great Indian History Quiz.
The programme began with a warm welcome for Tripathi, followed by his felicitation by Director Principal Dr. Amrita Vohra in recognition of his contribution to Indian literature and his efforts to make India’s history, mythology and civilisational heritage more accessible to young readers.
Addressing the students, Tripathi opened the session with a thought-provoking question: “Why do you not like history?” The discussion encouraged students to share their perceptions of the subject, allowing the author to demonstrate how history can be understood through stories, personalities, mysteries and defining events rather than being viewed as merely a collection of dates and facts.
Students were then introduced to Dhruv and Tara: The Great Indian History Quiz through an animated presentation featuring the book’s young protagonists. The session highlighted the book’s unique blend of storytelling, curiosity and quiz-based learning aimed at making Indian history engaging for children.
A lively question-and-answer session followed, during which students asked Tripathi about his journey as an author, the inspiration behind his writing career and his creative process. He encouraged students to remain curious, cultivate reading habits and confidently express their ideas through writing.
One of the highlights of the event was an interactive history quiz conducted by Tripathi. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their knowledge of Indian history and quick thinking. Those who answered correctly received special goodie bags, adding an element of excitement and friendly competition to the session.
The visit concluded with the recording of the inaugural episode of Elpro Echoes, the school’s student-led podcast. Hosted by students, the conversation covered topics including history, storytelling, education, curiosity and the evolving role of learning in the age of technology.
