Pune: Youth Arrested After Clash Outside Bishop’s School Camp
Pune, 16th August 2026: A quarrel broke out outside Bishop’s School in Camp, Pune, on August 15 following the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony, police said. The dispute reportedly involved the sons of politicians, after which supporters were allegedly called to the area.
The situation escalated, and school staff called the police after they were unable to bring the clash under control.
At around 9 a.m., within the limits of Lashkar Police Station, police found 18-year-old Ajit Jadhav, a resident of Wanowrie, and a 17-year-old juvenile allegedly abusing and threatening students passing along the road outside the school. During a search, police recovered a sharp-edged iron weapon from their possession.
Police registered FIR No. 183/2026 under Section 4(25) of the Arms Act and Sections 37(1) and 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act. Jadhav was arrested in connection with the case, while the juvenile was issued a notice.
