Pune: Viman Nagar’s Long-Awaited Missing Link Road Finally Opens on Independence Day

Viman Nagar, 15th August 2026: A long-awaited missing link road near Rose Garden Society (Kasol Cafe) and Symbiosis International School on Airport Road in Viman Nagar was inaugurated on Saturday, August 15, on the occasion of Independence Day.

The road was inaugurated in the presence of BJP corporators Aishwarya Pathare and Surendra Pathare, along with local residents and citizens.

The new road is expected to provide an additional connectivity route between parts of Viman Nagar, Pune Airport, Nagar Road and the Symbiosis campus. It is also expected to provide an alternative route for residents and commuters travelling through the area.

The road could help distribute traffic across the local network as vehicular movement in Viman Nagar continues to increase due to residential, commercial and educational activity.

Residents of nearby housing societies, students and staff travelling to the Symbiosis campus, airport-bound commuters and those travelling towards Nagar Road are among those expected to benefit from the additional route.

At the inauguration, the corporators highlighted the need for improved road infrastructure in Viman Nagar and surrounding areas in view of increasing traffic and development.

Local residents attending the inauguration welcomed the opening of the road, which had been awaited for some time.
