Two Days after Samant’s Order, Illegal Heavy Vehicle Parking Continues in Chakan MIDC

Chakan, 18th August 2026: Two days after Industries Minister Uday Samant directed local authorities to crack down on illegal roadside parking in the Chakan MIDC area, heavy vehicles, including containers, continue to be parked along roads across the industrial belt.

Local industrialists said the illegally parked vehicles occupy a significant portion of the carriageway, worsening traffic congestion and affecting the movement of goods and workers.

Samant, during his recent visit to Chakan MIDC, had directed authorities to take action against vehicles parked illegally on roads and said legal cases should be registered if the vehicles are not removed.
