Pune: Police Seek Help to Identify Toddler Found Near Bhandara Hill in Talegaon
Pimpri Chinchwad, 7th September 2026: The Talegaon MIDC police have appealed to the public for help in identifying the parents or guardians of a toddler found near Bhandara Hill in Pune district.
According to a notice issued by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, the girl was found within the jurisdiction of the Talegaon MIDC police station on September 6, 2026. She is believed to be between 18 months and two years old.
Police described the child as having a dusky complexion, black-brown eyes, black hair and a straight nose. She is approximately two feet tall and weighs around 10 kilograms.
At the time she was found, the girl was wearing a white frock with red, yellow and pink stripes. Her hair was tied with a black rubber band, and she had a red bindi on her forehead.
Police said she was not wearing any jewellery or other valuables on her hands, feet, waist, ears or nose.
Authorities have urged anyone who recognises the child or has information about her parents or guardians to immediately contact the Talegaon MIDC police station at 8108800381 or Police Sub-Inspector Vishal Navgire at 7756500265.
Police said public assistance could help reunite the toddler with her family.
