Pune to See Rainy Sunday; Heavy Showers Likely at Isolated Ghat Locations

Pune, 12th September 2026: Pune and its neighbouring areas are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall on Sunday, September 13, according to the local weather forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune.

The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy initially before becoming generally cloudy during the afternoon or evening. The IMD has also forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places in the ghat areas surrounding Pune.

On Sunday, Pune and Pashan are expected to record maximum temperatures of around 29°C and minimum temperatures of 22°C. Lohegaon, Chinchwad and Lavale may see maximum temperatures near 30°C, while nighttime temperatures will remain close to 22°C. Magarpatta and Koregaon Park are likely to record temperatures between 30°C and 23°C, while the NDA area may experience a cooler minimum of around 20°C.

Light to moderate rain is expected to continue on Monday, September 14, with daytime temperatures remaining between 29°C and 30°C across most locations.

From September 15 to 18, rainfall intensity is expected to decrease. The city will continue to experience partly cloudy conditions becoming generally cloudy by the afternoon or evening, accompanied by very light to light rain. Maximum temperatures may gradually rise from around 30–31°C on September 15 and 16 to 31–32°C on September 17 and 18.

On Saturday, September 12, Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 31.2°C and a minimum of 21.1°C. Among the monitored locations, Lohegaon recorded the highest maximum temperature at 31.6°C, while the NDA area registered the lowest minimum temperature at 18.7°C.
