Ganeshotsav 2026: Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust to Distribute 11,000 Spectacles Free in Pune
Pune, 17th September 2026: The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, associated with what it describes as Hindustan’s first public Ganpati, has organised a series of free health camps for citizens during Ganeshotsav.
The initiative will include eye check-ups, physiotherapy assessments, dental examinations and general health consultations. The Trust said 11,000 spectacles will also be distributed free of cost to people in need.
Several hospitals and institutions are participating in the initiative. Apollo Hospital will conduct health check-ups from September 16 to 18, while Agarwal Eye Hospital will conduct eye examinations from September 17 to 20.
Sancheti Hospital will conduct physiotherapy assessments on September 21. Dental examinations and consultations will be provided on September 21 and 22 in association with the Indian Prosthodontic Society and Dr Vijay Mabrukar.
Modern College will organise a physiotherapy camp on September 22, followed by another physiotherapy initiative on September 23 in association with Dhole Patil.
All the camps will be held at the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust mandap.
Trust festival chief and trustee Punit Balan appealed to citizens, particularly those requiring medical assistance, to make use of the free healthcare services.
According to the Trust, the initiative is aimed at combining Ganeshotsav celebrations with social service and public healthcare. The camps will provide basic health assessments and consultations, along with guidance on further treatment wherever required.

“Ganeshotsav should not remain only a religious festival; it should also become a celebration of initiatives that benefit society. With this objective, we have organised health camps this year in association with several hospitals and institutions. Citizens will receive free health check-ups, expert guidance and advice regarding necessary treatment. In particular, 11,000 spectacles will be distributed free of cost to people in need. With Bappa’s blessings, this health initiative is being conducted, and the Trust will continue such service-oriented activities in the future,” said Punit Balan, Festival Chief and Trustee, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust.
