Pune: Young Man Allegedly Lured Into Kidney Donation With Promise of Financial Help in Pimpri Chinchwad, Claims Rohit Pawar
Pimpri Chinchwad, 19th September 2026: An alleged case of a young man being induced to donate a kidney with promises of clearing his debt and providing financial support in the future has surfaced in Pimpri Chinchwad.
NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, in a post on X, claimed that Pawan Jadhav was allegedly promised financial assistance to repay his debt and was subsequently left helpless after his kidney was removed. Pawar also alleged that Jadhav was assaulted after the procedure.
Pawar claimed that a BJP corporator’s name had surfaced in connection with the alleged incident and demanded an investigation into the corporator’s role. He also claimed that a complaint had been lodged in the matter but no FIR had been registered so far.
According to Pawar, the alleged case raises questions over where, when and under what circumstances Jadhav’s kidney was removed, who persuaded him to undergo the procedure, who acted as intermediaries, how the financial transaction was carried out and what role the medical institution concerned played.
Pawar also questioned whether timely police intervention could have prevented the alleged exploitation of a financially vulnerable youth.
The allegations have not yet been independently or officially verified. No official statement from the police or the concerned medical authorities was available at the time of publication.
In his X post, Pawar alleged that the young man was lured with money and assurances that his debt would be cleared and he would be financially supported in the future. He called for a detailed probe into what he described as a “kidney racket” and said the police should investigate the matter without succumbing to political pressure, irrespective of the political affiliation of those allegedly involved.
