Pune Rozgar Mela: 223 Youth Receive Appointment Letters Across Government Departments

Pune, 19th September 2026: As many as 223 newly recruited candidates in Pune received appointment letters during the 20th Rozgar Mela organised on Saturday, September 19, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth across government organisations through video conference.

The national-level Rozgar Mela was conducted at 45 locations across India. Prime Minister Modi addressed the newly selected candidates during the programme, which began at 12:30 pm.

The recruits have been appointed to various ministries and departments of the Government of India, including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence, among others.

In Pune, the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and Customs, Pune Zone, organised the Rozgar Mela at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA) in the Rajbhavan Complex on Baner Road.

The event was organised under the leadership of Chief Commissioner Neeraj Kansal, IRS, and Principal Commissioner Mihir Kumar, IRS. Principal Commissioner D. Anil was also present.
Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, was the chief guest at the Pune event.

Among the 223 appointment letters distributed in Pune, 94 were for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), while 32 were for the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). Another 32 appointments were made in the Department of Posts.

The other appointments included 29 in the Ministry of Civil Aviation through the Airports Authority of India (AAI), 21 in Railways, 11 in the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), one in GAIL, one in Water Resources, one in the Bank of Maharashtra and one in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Several candidates attended the programme along with their family members. During the event, newly appointed candidates and their families also shared their experiences and sentiments through video messages.

The Rozgar Mela is aimed at providing appointment opportunities to newly recruited candidates across various government departments and institutions.
