50 Minutes for an Ambulance in Pune: Mohammadwadi Accident Video Shows Injured Victim Waiting After Dumper Crash
Mohammadwadi, 21st September 2026: A 20-year-old man died and another sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle went under a dumper in the Mohammadwadi area of Pune on Monday evening. A video reportedly recorded by a local resident has raised questions over the response to the accident, with the resident claiming that an ambulance reached the spot nearly 50 minutes after the crash.
According to Kale Padal Police Station, the accident took place at around 5 pm near Mahadev Temple at Raheja Vista, Tower 7. The Splendor motorcycle reportedly came into contact with the dumper, with the two-wheeler going under the dumper’s rear wheel.
The deceased has been identified as Hamza Ibrahim Sarkar, 20, while another 20-year-old, Wasim Khan, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A video captured by a resident from his flat shows the injured man lying on the road while people gathered around the accident spot.
According to the resident who recorded the video, an ambulance arrived approximately 50 minutes after the accident. The footage also appears to show the injured man waiting at the scene before being taken for medical treatment.
The exact time of the ambulance’s arrival and the circumstances surrounding the delay are being verified.
The video also contains an allegation that the dumper driver, who was reportedly hiding near the accident spot after the crash, was taken away from the area by another two-wheeler rider before police could reach him.
The dumper involved in the accident bears registration number MH 12 VF 1965. Police have identified the driver as Bhaganna Laxman Katbu, 34.
