Pune: Ajmer–Daund Express to Get Permanent LHB Coaches from September 24
Pune, 23rd September 2026: The Ajmer–Daund–Ajmer Express (20991/20992) will operate with a revised permanent 16-coach LHB composition from September 24, replacing its conventional ICF coaches with LHB coaches.
Train No. 20991 Ajmer–Daund Express will adopt the revised composition from September 24, while Train No. 20992 Daund–Ajmer Express will operate with the new composition from September 25.
The permanent 16-coach LHB composition will include one AC 2-Tier coach, five AC 3-Tier coaches, five Sleeper Class coaches, three General Second Class coaches, one Generator Car and one Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Van.
The train had initially been operated with a revised 18-coach LHB composition for one trip. The Ajmer-origin service operated on September 17, while the Daund-origin service operated on September 18. That composition included one AC 2-Tier, six AC 3-Tier, five Sleeper Class, four General Second Class and two Generator Cars.
With the permanent composition, the number of AC 3-Tier coaches will be reduced from six to five, General Second Class coaches from four to three, and one Generator Car will be replaced by a Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Van.
Necessary reservation adjustments are being made in the reservation system according to the revised dates and coach composition.
The route, timings and scheduled halts of the Ajmer–Daund–Ajmer Express will remain unchanged. Passengers travelling on the train are required to take note of the revised coach composition.
