Pune Ganesh Visarjan: PMPML Changes Bus Departure Points Across Swargate, Deccan
Pune, 25th September 2026: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) has temporarily shifted bus boarding points in the Swargate and Deccan areas on Friday due to traffic restrictions for the Ganesh visarjan procession.
Buses from Swargate’s Shahu Maharaj Bus Stand heading towards Katraj, Kondhwa, Upper and Market Yard via Satara Road will operate from Laxmi Narayan Chowk. Buses from the Natraj Bus Stand towards Sinhagad Road will depart from the Swami Samarth Math bus stop at Parvati Paytha.
Buses heading towards Pulgate, Hadapsar, Bhawani Peth, Nana Peth and Rasta Peth will operate from Vega Centre near the Swargate depot.
Similarly, buses from Deccan Gymkhana towards Kothrud Depot, Malwadi and NDA Gate will depart from near SNDT College.
The changes have been made for a day as Shivaji Road, Bajirao Road, Laxmi Road, Tilak Road and Karve Road will remain closed to bus traffic due to the immersion procession.
PMPML has urged commuters to check their revised boarding point and reach the designated location instead of their usual bus stop to avoid inconvenience.
