Pune: Bigg Boss Fame Divya Shinde Booked Over Attack on Doctor in Rs 5 Lakh Dispute

Mohammedwadi, 26th September 2026: A former Chief Medical Officer of the Pune Cantonment Board has alleged that he was assaulted at his Mohammedwadi residence by a group, including reel star and Bigg Boss fame Divya Shinde, following a dispute over a demand for ₹5 lakh.
The complaint was filed by Dr Vidyadhar Dadasaheb Gaykwad at Kalepadal police station on September 25. According to the First Information Report (FIR), Shinde, Anna Umdere and around eight to 10 others allegedly entered Gaikwad’s house on September 24 and assaulted him.
Gaikwad alleged that the accused slapped and kicked him and attacked him with a stick and a sharp weapon. He also alleged that the group threatened him and damaged household articles and a vehicle. According to the complaint, his son Omkar was also assaulted after he arrived at the house.
The alleged assault followed a dispute over a demand for ₹5 lakh for a programme held on September 17. Gaikwad told police that Shinde and Umdere had sought the money and allegedly threatened his family after he refused to pay.
The complaint also refers to a meeting between Gaikwad and Umdere on September 23, during which they allegedly discussed Shinde’s authority to organise the programme.
The FIR names Shinde and Umdere as accused, along with one unidentified person, and invokes several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police Sub-Inspector Amit Balasaheb Shete is investigating the case.
