Pune Diwali Rush: Two Hadapsar–Nagpur Special Trains Announced
Pune, 26th September 2026: Two special train services between Hadapsar and Nagpur have been announced to handle the additional passenger rush during the Diwali festive season. The services will operate separately as a bi-weekly special and a weekly special.
Hadapsar–Nagpur Bi-Weekly Special
Train No. 01201 Nagpur–Hadapsar Special will depart from Nagpur at 7:40 pm every Monday and Thursday from October 8 to November 19, 2026, reaching Hadapsar at 11:05 am the following day. The service will have 13 trips.
In the return direction, Train No. 01202 Hadapsar–Nagpur Special will depart from Hadapsar at 4:05 pm every Tuesday and Friday from October 9 to November 20, reaching Nagpur at 6:30 am the following day, with 13 trips.
The train will halt at Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar, Daund Chord Line and Uruli.
The train will have 4 AC 3-Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 Second Seating-cum-Guard’s Brake Van coaches.
Hadapsar–Nagpur Weekly Special
A separate Nagpur–Hadapsar–Nagpur weekly special will operate for 14 services.
Train No. 01209 Nagpur–Hadapsar Special will depart Nagpur at 7:40 pm every Saturday from October 10 to November 21, reaching Hadapsar at 11:05 am the following day. It will operate for 7 trips.
The return service, Train No. 01210 Hadapsar–Nagpur Special, will leave Hadapsar at 4:05 pm every Sunday from October 11 to November 22, reaching Nagpur at 6:30 am the following day, with 7 trips.
The weekly special will have the same route, stoppages and coach composition as the bi-weekly service, with halts at Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar, Daund Chord Line and Uruli.
Booking Details
Advance booking for Train Nos. 01201 and 01202 will open on September 27, 2026 at computerised reservation centres and through the IRCTC website.
Bookings for Train Nos. 01209 and 01210 will open on September 28, 2026.
Unreserved tickets can be booked through the UTS system at normal charges, while passengers can also use the RailOne app for ticket booking.
